Talent Show : Performance

I will be the first to admit that the phrase ‘Talent Show’ does not inspire a sense of excitement or anticipation in the general audience. Particularly not when one is in school and it is announced that the campus is putting one on. From middle school to college, the track record for these things has been pretty poor. In my experience, shows have either been paltry, with too few people auditioning or performing, or subpar by way of ‘talent’ presented.

Edge of Darkness : Movie Review

Edge of Darkness marks Mel Gibson’s return to the big screen after six years without a film credit, seven or eight if you don’t count an uncredited appearance in “Paparazzi” or his nearly unrecognizable performance as Dr. Gibbon in “The Singing Detective”. That would put his last appearance in “Signs”, before he pulled away from the limelight. Or, at least, that particular kind of limelight anyway.

Music in the Library 2 : Music

On Friday, January 29, the Hannon Library was graced with another performance by the on campus A Cappella group Dulcet as they prepare for their upcoming competition. The ICCA competition, as stated in the last blog about these performances, is on February 6 at 8pm at the Hult Center in Eugene. It is the quarterfinals for the West section of the national competition, featuring schools from Oregon, Washington, California and Utah.
