I have always been fascinated with bees and beekeeping and would love to learn the ropes and volunteer with a local beekeeper who is willing to teach.

can you grown honey in your backyard? I have only .25 acre? how far from people do I need to have the hive?

Does anyone in this group actually have bees yet? :) I'm hoping to get them soon but am very new to the whole idea.
