The Ashland High School Alumni Association began on May 30, 1891 with 3 graduating students;
O. A. Thorton, Moody Scott, Lora Colton.
One year was missed when the fourth year was added in 1903 (no Seniors to graduate.)

Public nudity in Ashland

I cannot believe that Ashland has deteriorated to the point where it is legal for naked people to walk around town. It's hard to believe that I grew up there. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Georgia Ross celebrates her 90th Birthday! Her family and friends would like you to join us for an open-house celebration on Saturday, March 13th from 1-3 p.m. for coffee, cake, and some entertainment at the Ashland Bellview Grange on Tolman Creek Rd., in Ashland, Oregon.

Georgia began her teaching career in 1940 in Tillamook, Oregon after graduating from Monmouth, OR. She moved to Ashland where she attended Southern Oregon College of Education graduating with a Masters Degree. She first taught Jr. High in Jacksonville in 1955, then moved to Ashland Jr. High from 1956-1982 where she retired after a 30 year teaching career. Georgia was named "Teacher of the Year" in1980 after teaching History, English, P.E., Drama, and Block for many years.

Currently Georgia lives in Ashland where she plays golf twice a week, exercises at the "Y" 3 times a week, and calls Bingo at a nursing home. She has also volunteered for many years in the "SMART" program in the Ashland School District where she helps kids on a one-on-one basis. You can also find her at the dog park daily with her lovely dog "Blue."

We certainly hope that any former students, colleagues, friends, and acquaintances will join us to help her celebrate this joyous occasion! This is an Open House so please pass the word!

Prior to his death, Mr. Billings had been our oldest living Ashland High School Alumni. He gradated in the Class of 1929
