Lunch Buddy/Volunteer Mentor

Soroptimist International Ashland is looking for women interested in being a Lunch buddy to a young girl (grades 2-4) from Helman Elementary School. Share a 1/2 hour lunchtime on a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Thursday of the month with your girl. We have seen, after 2 years of this Soroptimist Strong Girls Strong Women program, that girls' self confidence grows, they begin to see new possibilities for their future, they learn to have a relationship with an adult woman that is not based on gifts, but on just being present.
