Hi chicken lovers- I wanted to invite you to attend InFARMation (and Beer!) - a free community discussion focused on the connection between food and farms in Oregon. Farmers from three different farms serving the Rogue Valley area with local, grass-fed and pastured meats (including chickens) will be sitting on a panel about the issues farmers face in our state with meat processing, and discussing the different ways that a concerned consumer can buy meat directly from farmers and opt out of the factory farm food system.
The event is being held at the Stillwater Bar and Restaurant in Ashland this Thursday, June 18th, from 5:30-8:30. Speakers start at 6:30. Admission is free! Come network with other community members who care about a sustainable food system, safe food, and buying local. This is a great opportunity to meet your farmers and hear directly from them about their practices raising meat.
