Beat the heat with cheap family fun

Last weekend, my wife and daughter drove to Ashland's Emigrant Lake and enjoyed $4 parking, a $10 lunch and wading/swimming/floating in the lake.

Around 6 pm we headed over to Lithia Park for Ballet in the Park. We contribute $6 as a donation (all the cash I had left) and received about $30 worth of very cool entertainment on a hot evening.

So for a Sunday family outing, we spent $20 and had a great time!
