Claire: sorry for being out of touch. I was working on several books, under the gun. When it gets like this I stay away from my E mail. However, I'm back, and digging for Jura's address so I send in my bucks, and yes I still am planning on doing the flyer. I also tried to reach you by phone.

Kit,
Been sending several emails over weeks without a response from you, so trying this avenue. You indicated desire to attend the Southern Oregon Book & Author Fair (& volunteered to do fliers), but you never sent in your registration and fee to Jura's address. If you're interested please do that now, though you may be wait-listed (all registration info on www.southernoregonbookfair.com ). Also, let me know if you are still okay with doing the flier, please

You are amazingly prolific. How do you do it. I work pretty hard at this stuff, but can't match you for output. I'd love to chat sometime. Give me a call when you're in the mood, 488-4220 or pgibb@ashlandhome.net. the next couple of weeks are good for me because my wife is out of the country, and I'm just focusing on getting this ms ready for submission.

Hello Peter:
I publish through Hellgate press. Body Parts is a dark thriller that came out early this year, Retribution will be out in late September and the Debut of my Adventure series: Stevie Cutter and the search or Yamashita's gold will be out late in October. When I refer to the first Book of 2010 it is just the first of three for that year.
Hey that's great that people want to see your book, jump on it. I wrote Body Parts 6 years ago.
I'm onto a new chapter but will be in touch this weekend.

Hi Kit - Good for you. 64,000 is a goodly number of words. When you say "first book to come out in 2010" does that imply that you already have publisher etc. lined up? How many have you written? I was working on my 2nd novel, but just came back from Wilamette Writers Conference where I pitched my first, a YA. I talked to 3 agents and an editor, all of whom want to see it. Not really sure what that means, but I came home and decided to do a complete re-edit of the book before sending it out, so I've set #2 aside for an intense re-write period. I'd be game to get together and talk about all of this strange stuff we writers do, if you're interested. Contact me easier at pgibb@ashlandhome.net or 488-4220. I say
Write ON! also

I just pounded out 64 thousand words for my first book to come out in 2010, A measure of Time. I used two students, well their names, as characters in the surprise twist in the middle. Gad what fun. Gold, lumber mils and flumes, and a bank robbery.
If you have a book in you just aching to get out drop me a line, I'm always interested in what other writers are doing, how they handle the craft of writing.

Hello Rockangel
I write three different series. One is a a husband and wife that own and operate an ambulance service and have more of the medical thriller type adventure. One is about a 50 year old female that lives if the Oregon sea side town of Dungeness Bay and is a P I and owns a martial art studio. Her adventures are more of the mystery kind with lots with martial art combat pepperd throughout. But my favorite is the Stevie Cutter adventure series. Stevie (A woman) is 48 and when her father vanishes over the South Pacific in 1971 when she is about twelve he leaves a diary and a treasure map. The first in the series comes out lat October this year titled The Cutter Legacy and the search for Yamashita's Gold. Earlier this year Body Parts came out that's the one with the husband and wife ambulance owner...It's a little dark and I wrote it about 6 years ago. My writing is much better now.
I want to put together a small group of writers that would like to exchange ideas. This would not be a pass around your manuscript for everyone to read, rather a chance to pick the brain of other writers for ideas and experiences. I live high up in the cascades above Ashland, a perfect setting to open the mind to new writing experiences. If you're interested drop me an E mail kit@mind.net and I'll send you more details

Hello Rockangel
Kids books wow, are they published, if not I know this prolific kids book, 72 so far, who lives down under and may be able to open a few doors, or just point at the doors, who knows. Although I'm in the middle of two books with a deadline of August I have been working on a screen play. What is your screen play about? are you aware that you don't shop around entire screen plays any more that you send out spec pages???
