There's a cute - and gonna be large we think - Border Collie/Pit x(?) named Andy at the Jackson County Animal

Shelter. Staff has pegged his age as 6 to 8 months, but some of the volunteers are wondering if he might really be just 3 to 4 months and large. He's sweet, and has that "clunky" big-dog puppy pace. If you're interested in a potential big dog with a beautiful heart as a playmate for your pooch, check out Andy (He may be even groggier since he was just neutered on Thursday, 3/4/10). He's is a very shy and sweet dog that likes people and is learning about the "new things" in life - like doorways and hallways. He loves to lick the face of and run with big dogs, but Andy can become "overpowered" by high activity, assertive dogs that tend to leap on him.

Come to the Puss 'n Boots ball on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at the Ashland Armory. This is the big annual fundraiser for Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS). Admission includes buffett dinner, music by the Rogue Suspects, auction items, no-host bar, and lots of fun. Check the link for details.
