little capitalist running dogs!

little kids bake sale on siskiyou blvd., a girl waving a big sign, three bicyclists pulled over to choose from brownies, ginger cookies, and muffins. no lemonade.
which was a good thing, as a 7 year old girl was busted in Portland this week for selling lemonade without a health permit....
these kids, they didn't need the health department after them, no, they
needed the consumer protection division! i pay with a 20, but they're
short on change, they've only got 5's and 10's...so they say...
well what about coins, i ask, and lo and behold, there's only 3 dimes, 2 pennies and a nickel in their little drawer.....
cuz they're kids, i'm about to let them get away with my 1.50 change,
but come to my senses and demand an extra ginger cookie. they were
really good, like pumpkin pie without the getting egged on halloween
night.....
still, those little girls were milking the bikers and I, raking in the 10's and 5's.....
look out china! our little capitalists are growing up smart!
