I can think of one more thing that would help the population. Support loving people in adopting some of the children, even or especially when the loving people happen to not be straight and white.

Hey everybody.

I am looking for a place to live in or around ashland beginning in November, a place that has some space to garden. Ideally I am looking for aa situation where I can do some work in exchange for most of the rent, and pay something like $200 a month as well. I have been WWOOFing, during work exchange on over 15 farms in California and Oregon this year, and have worked on farms for the past 3 years, so i am an experienced laborer. i am also a great cook, babysitter, house cleaner, and musician(guitar).

I am a student of Permaculture and I have dedicated this year to making a peraculture garden in the Ashaland area(to be near a great social, cultural, and local food scene.) I have plenty of references from previous employees whom i have worked with and lived with, including Ashlander Chuck Burr of the Ashland Restoration Farm on the Old sisskiyou highway.

Please, if this doesn't suit you, perhaps you know somebody who might be interested. if you could let anybody that you know who might be interested, i would greatly appreciate it. I really want to grow food and share it with people, especially my hosts.

Thanks,

Daniel Kra

If the houses on B Street between First and Pioneer replaced their household cleaners with Get Clean, it would collectively eliminate 1.512 pounds of packaging waste from landfills and 3.472 pounds of greenhouse gases.

If every house on Hope Street between Beswick Way and Park Street in our town replaced their household cleaners with Get Clean, they would collectively eliminate 540 pounds of packaging waste from landfills and eliminate 1,240 pounds of greenhouse gases.

Hi. I am spending time learning more about sustainability and how to work with communities to identify ways to become more sustainable in their day-to-day operations. This is called an intergrated community sustainability plan (ICSP). One of the key components is looking at ways to reduce energy consumption through renewable energy and alternative fuel sources for example. Cities can not only save money on energy costs, but also reduce the amount of carbon dixoide being generated. I look forward to working on ICSPs for communities in the Rogue Valley when grant funding is secured.

I may be an old timer, but in MY book population control starts and ends with a healthy diet. In a sustainable society, local bio-organic crops are a reward in themselves, since education goes hand-in-hand with a progressive way of life. What's good for the young may or may not be good for the old, as our increasingly wired generation might just be falling off the hinges. Twitter, anyone? ;)

Regarding population control. I see this more as a spiritual phenomenon that will pass on it's own. Many people have incarnated for spiritual purposes at this time. It will sort itself out. We are capable of each growing enough food in our backyards to sustain our families in this country. (maybe not so in China etc) The purity of our planet is more important than population. We have irresponsible population and that is more of a problem.
