I changed my mind. brown has unfortunate connotations, someone pointed out to me. Let's stick with green. unless anyone can come up with a good argument for a different color?
I think the rainbow should cover it. Water and the sky are blue (when both clean), grass and plants are green (unless they are mushrooms), earth and ROCKS!! are brown, then you have the endless colors of flowers... so just about all covers it... I know.. How about white? Wait, no... nevermind.
The color of sustainability could be purple, the color of royalty. Corporate royalty to be specific. When Enron went under, who bought its share of the wind and solar markets? It's not a trick question. It's a question of whether one decides to do the research. And what's up with the Clinton Initiative, which seeks to sign on 1,000 cities to purchase "green" appliances and other hardware from an organization specifically setup in the Walmart business model to buy from manufacturers in bulk and sell to municipalities for less than those places could buy on their own. Who is getting rich off the green push? The purple people. Green isn't for the poor who can't afford it. It's for the wealthy who are trying to reduce their carbon footprint. And in doing so, they must spend a ton of dough that makes the same fat cats fatter. Purple. The color is sustainability is purple.
marty - i was going to ban you from the discussion because you disagreed with me, but then you pointed out that I disagreed with myself, so I had to ban myse

Originally I was going to say all colors, but after serious thought I believe the answer is "none".
The water I've tasted from the streams of Shasta has no color. The sky without pollutants is without color. When we are at our mindful peak, it is said we are clear headed.

I also believe that the word "discussion" involves differing perspectives which allows our personal philosophies to grow and evolve. A statement such as "green is too capitalistic" is not a fact. It is an opinion.

I laughed out loud when I noticed that Myles posted a "disagreement" with himself. :)

I will gladly join into discussions with open minded people who will not get offended when someone offers their alternative perspective. I wish to be enlightened.
