Hi Julia,

Did you see the great baby picture of Wah Chung's little girl Jennie in the Mail Tribune on Friday, April 24th? It came fron SOHS with a SOHS photo number. I am going to order it for the Museum.

SOHS has an early map that had a Chinese grocery store on the corner of 2nd and 'A'. There is a house there now with the address of 280 'A' Street where the Soriano family live. He is a retired railroad worker who grows the most amazing flowers. I have been wanting to interview him for an oral history about working for the railroad, but he told me his English isn't that good. I've been looking for a Spanish interpreter who could help me.

I would really love to sit down and talk some time about the information you gave me. - Thanks again - Victoria

HI JUlia,

Thanks so much for the pictures and the info - would love to talk about them. There is a house at 280 A Street where a retired Southern Pacific employee has lived for many years. I have always wondered if it might be Wah Chung's old house - the info you gave me indicates that there was a Chinese owned business there. Thanks again - Victoria 261-6605
