Mad World
Mad World brings together five musicians who's experiences range from National touring Rock 'N' Roll acts to small jazz combo's, from Symphony Orchestras to pit orchestras for musical theater productions,
from bagpipe bands to first call studio session players.
Mad World was formed in the summer of 2003. What started as a recording project a year before, it was soon realized it was too
much fun not to make it a full blown live act.
Their set list is comprised of original material chosen from a catalog of over 100 songs. Their sound has been described as everything from
Pop Rock to Heavy Metal and everything in-between. More than a few times the band has been told "You guys sound like Journey, but with balls". The guys in the band think that means Mad World plays songs with a good strong melody, but plays them in an aggressive Hard Rock style !
Venues that Mad World has been heard in include : The Irish Pub (Ashland), The Vinyl Club (Ashland), A Street Market (Ashland), Jefferson State Pub (Ashland), Alex's (Ashland), Fatty's (now Roscoe's in Phoenix), The Talent Club (Talent), The Osprey (Medford), Bozz's (Medford), Casa Ramos (Medford), Touvelle Lodge (Central Point), Relax Sports Pub (Central Point), The Trove (Grants Pass), Swans Bistro (Klamath Falls), Summer Blend (Selma).
