Tomorrow might be a better first day of the rest of your life

Day before yesterday was a horrendous day. Then, on the way home at last, after working all the beautiful day away indoors with a squeaky wheel and finally done as dark approached, there was that church sign by the side of the road: "Today is the first day of the rest of your life."Think I better drive past that sign again today and read it all over again ...For a "fresh start" See More

Beware gold-covered tungsten fake gold from overseas

Used to be that you could buy a sterling silver ring anywhere, and sterling jewelry was plentiful. Now, all you see is cheap tungsten jewelry, or silver-covered tungsten jewelry, and that cheap jewelry is not made here in the U.S.- it is made overseas. It's a marvel, how hard it is to find good old fashioned silver jewelry, all of a sudden. Tungsten has nearly the same density as gold. (I was just reading about how great China's tungsten mines are doing.) A couple years ago, it was found that a…See More

Fish Oil is Not a Good Idea

Some time ago there was a program on Public Television about hatchery fish and they showed a big deuce-and-a-half full of huge bags of SPRAY DRIED BLOOD that is used as food for the fish. Spray dried blood is blood from slaughterhouses that has been dried. Blood meal that people blithely buy for their gardens is slaughterhouse blood. It is entirely unnatural for fish to be consuming slaughterhouse blood. Another thing about slaughterhouse blood is that its fed to calves in a strange mixed…See More

Cooking Spray & Illness

Hello,Is there a can of cooking spray in your cupboard? Do you use cooking spray to cook with? And, do you have cancer or a degenerative illness?People should be aware that canola oil forms a toxin called 4-hydroxy-trans-2-nonenal when it is heated to high temeratures. This oil-heating toxin-forming process is known as "racemization." Cooking spray also contains a propellant that might possibly interact with the racemization process.I mention this after today visiting a fifth person with either…See More

about the recent "hit & run"

Recently, a pedestrian was hit by a pick up truck, and the truck drove away. A couple days later, a gentleman goes to the police station and says he was unaware of having hit anyone, but it might possibly have been him because he was in that area around that time. And so, the hit & run driver has kind of disappeared into a gray area. We saw this exact same situation a few years ago: a lady hit & killed a child as she drove through Lithia Park. But see, she didn't know she'd hit a child.…See More

The Meaning & Purpose of Life

Thankfully, I have not been banished from this wonderful forum. Kids - do not drink whiskey. It is a terrible substtance. There are hooks in it that fasten to your consciousness for several days. It is the devil's substance, no good. Terrible = never drink whiskey, unless a Siberian Husky delivers it to you in a wooden keg at its throat as you lay freezing in an avalanche of snow. That said, the other morning I finally realized the Meaning of Life. I have been working on that one since I was 16;…See More

My Testimony/my life as a Mormon

Well, my Testimony was literally handed to me a couple of years after receiving my Patriarchal blessing. The Patriarchal blessing is where an aged and very good Brother of the Church prays and places his hands upon one's head and speaks about your gifts and your future what the Lord impresses upon his heart, mind and soul. Patriarch Merlin Huntsman gave me a very beautiful blessing. That blessing was transcribed & typed then I received a signed printed copy, which I cherish and kept tucked…See More

Sesame Restaurant has Green Tea & Five Spice Ice Cream!

Hey, Sesame Restaurant is beautiful! The food alters one's consciousness! In a positive way! Also, for dessert they have green tea ice cream and five spice ice cream on the menu!! We had to hurry to get back home, so we'll have to try the ice creams later. But our dinners were very inexpensive, less than ten dollars each! The space is lovely, much larger than appears from the front, with big white paper lanterns all over the ceiling, very pretty, like balloons. But be careful if the waitperson…See More

Marilyn Manson & all the Beautiful People

Two weeks ago, I took the Amtrak Bus from Safeway here in Ashland to Sacramento, ran across the platform to catch the train, then managed to get a quick smoke in at Emeryville before an Amtrak Bus left there for San Francisco. Buses have their own special lane over the Bay Bridge, so it was great to happily spectate & avoid all that commuter traffic on a Friday evening! The bus let me off at 5th and Market Streets - right near the Powell Street BART station. It was an unusually warm evening…See More
