“Business Information Destruction: When, Why and How?” is topic of Nov. 10 Women Entrepreneurs of Southern Oregon program

Speaker: Mike Jacobson

Businesses need to collect customer information and maintain the business’ private information. But, what do you do when the information, and especially the paper, piles up? What should you keep, what should you destroy, how do you destroy it properly, and how do you make these decisions? This month’s speaker will explain why you need to have a policy and procedures in place for information destruction and what the consequences are for not having them. Mike Jacobson will give you tips on developing your policy and procedures and what legislation affects data protection. Learn how to do it right and according to the law!

Mike Jacobson is the Manager for Rogue Shred, LLC since 2000. Rogue Shred is part of Rogue Disposal and Recycling where Mike has worked since 1983.
