This past Spring, I was invited by Ron Danko and John Cole to be the Music Composer/director for RCC's Theatre Department's end of the year Production "Loves Not Times Fool"... a collection of Shakespeare's Sonnets. It was such an exciting project! At first I was slightly intimidated (yet honored) at the prospect of putting music to verse written almost 500+ years ago (let alone it being Shakespeare!) But after I figured out the rhythm of his sonnets, a pattern began to emerge! I was on a roll! I can't tell you exactly where the music came from.... but it flooded in from the depths of my musical soul! The play was so incredible! And I have begun recording a CD of the sonnets. I am currently putting together a new band, and we'll be playing around town shortly! In the meantime, I've set up shop at Abbinito Salon (I have over 23 years as a hair artist) and am working on re-building my clientele after a 1 1/2 year absence to finish up my music composition degree at SOU! I offer discounts to anyone who mentions connect ashland AND friends me on facebook! :)
Take care!!!
