Hello,

Is there a can of cooking spray in your cupboard? Do you use cooking spray to cook with? And, do you have cancer or a degenerative illness?

People should be aware that canola oil forms a toxin called 4-hydroxy-trans-2-nonenal when it is heated to high temeratures. This oil-heating toxin-forming process is known as "racemization." Cooking spray also contains a propellant that might possibly interact with the racemization process.

I mention this after today visiting a fifth person with either cancer or degenerative desease who uses cooking spray. Before buying cooking spray, eople might wish to contact the manufacturer to see if any studies have been done concerning raceimization of their cooking spray.

People might also wish to read the literature concerning racemization of rapeseed or canola oil and re-think what oil they use for cooking.
