Connect Ashland

I need to find a dependable way to get to shopnkart and back. I am unable to do it on my bicycle or the bus. I live on 99 just south of Talent city limits.

Thanks Theresa.
I'm unable to afford gas contributions right now. SSI barely pays me enough to keep my head above water. Asking for rides and hitchhiking are my only options besides my bicycle. I cannot even afford the bus anymore. I do not qualify for the van that picks up people and takes them on errands. That's for people unable to walk.
I need to get my art selling so I can afford a few things in life that I deserve.

Dave hello there. Nice artwork! Love to talk with you about it sometime.
There are so many people hitch hiking and it can be a frightening thing for some of us to think about picking anyone up. It may be well to offer gas money for a ride. You may also want to make friends with one or more of the Shop N Kart employees who may be going your way. There is a van that picks up disabled persons and transports them places on errands. Not sure how that works, but it can be investigated on the internet I'm quite sure.
Creatively speaking,
Theresa

No response and the need is still here. I tried hitchhiking in front of my home on 99 because I'm getting desperate, but nobody would stop. They'd get over in the fast lane when they saw my thumb out as a way of saying 'no way buddy'! But did any of you stop...not this time and not most times. Sometimes I'll have my walking stick in hopes they'll see I'm disabled. A friend reccomended I carry an empty gas can. I really don't think I should have to carry that around for no apparent reason other than to get a ride by some unsuspecting 'samaritan'. Seems silly and a bit dishonest. So I ask you Ashland....How is a low income, disabled at times...non car owner supposed to get around with groceries, laundry, and other items to big or heavy to take on the bus? I always thought you ask a friend or neighhbor but if that doesn't work...what's a guy to do?
