The credit crunch that began in 2008 is still affecting how loans are granted today. Come hear Genie Gilliam talk about what caused the credit crunch and how changes in underwriting criteria affect business owners in obtaining credit. You’ll walk away with a better understanding of what is needed today to qualify for a loan for your business expansion, real estate purchases, other business credit needs, and even personal credit needs.

A banker since 1977, Genie’s current position is VP Branch Manager of People’s Bank of Commerce branch in Central Point where her focus is on lending to businesses.  Prior positions in her career include President and CEO of Family Security Bank in Brookings, Oregon; President & CEO of 3PM, Inc, a property management and mortgage brokerage firm and most recently, three years as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones Investments.

Gilliam lives in Jacksonville with her husband Mike and their two cats. Her greatest joy is her two grandsons who live in Winston, Oregon.
